Trying Out the Best Nordic Food in Oregon

There are a few places in Oregon where you can have Nordic food for dinner. If you have never tried Nordic food, you will want to make the effort to do so at least once while you are visiting Oregon. Nordic food shares many of the same characteristics as other types of food from the Scandinavian region. For example, there are certain ingredients and styles of fish and game that are common in Nordic food. Nordic food in Oregon includes salmon, smoked fish, wild game, and game meat including venison, elk, and mule deer. You can also find Nordic open fires and wood fireplaces in Oregon.

Here are some of the most delicious foods from the Nordic region of the United States. First is salmon. Salmon is delicious all year round, but you may find it better if you eat it during the colder months. If you like your salmon cold, you should try Silverton salmon. Salmon is one of the best fish to grill, so if you grill salmon with a Swiss diamond, it will be delicious!

Next, we have the famous plum hill apple. When I was in Portland, I ate the plum hill apple in the apple orchard on the recommendation of a friend. I took home the first one I tasted and thought it was amazing! The tartness and juice reminded me of a cross between an apple and a plum. If you are trying to decide which apple is your favorite, try the plum hill variety.

If you are in Corral Dayna’s restaurant in Portland, you will want to try their beefsteak soup. This soup has a tangy taste that goes well with the beef. If you aren’t a big fan of beefsteak, you may especially like this soup. It can be an interesting combination of flavors, depending on your palate. I especially liked the funky flavor that this dish has.

If you are going to any Nordic food in Oregon stop at Pino Nurturing Winery and Bistro for a night of dancing and good food. The piano music and beautiful decor to make you feel as though you are in Paris. If you enjoy wine, you will also enjoy the wonderful wine selection Pino Nurturing has. My favorite selection is called the Paris selection, which is made from Chardonnay wine and Moscato wine.

You will also want to stop in at the McMenamins Grand Lodge for a night of relaxation and good food. The wine selection is wonderful at this winery and the food is a cut above the rest. Of course, there are plenty of Nordic places to eat in Corral Dayna’s restaurant in Portland, such as Claus, which is known for their warm fresh breads and homemade beer. Also, there is the Polar Bear Grille in Northeast Portland for some great meals.

If you are looking for a place to relax then head to the Lincoln County Winery for a night of good wine and great food. The wine tasting is free and the food is excellent. You will be able to take in all of the Oregon wineries that are within a driving distance of the winery. It will be an experience you won’t soon forget. I also recommend the Lincoln Bottom Pub and Restaurant for a night of great food and wine while in Corral.

If you are looking for a place to enjoy a quiet evening with friends then head to the Saw Mill Riverfront Winery and Sake. The winery is located in the beautiful Olympic Peninsula forests and offers you a true escape. You will be able to sit by the fire and enjoy the views of the mountains while drinking delicious Japanese sake. There is even a small sushi bar for your dining needs. The Sake dinner can be easily made with the house made Japanese sake or you can get some of the finest sake in Oregon right in front of you. It’s truly the best place to enjoy a relaxing evening in Corral.
